Vietnam is a major global coffee exporter; among all the coffee varieties grown in the country, Robusta ranks first in export volume. However, Vietnamese coffee remains positioned in the lower-value segment, as most of it is exported in raw form.
In the past, when people spoke of Arabica in Vietnam, Cầu Đất in Đà Lạt was considered the finest source. Likewise, Đắk Lắk was long regarded as the premier region for high-quality Robusta. Yet true Vietnamese coffee aficionados understand that every growing region - when nurtured with proper care and processed with professionalism - can produce excellent quality beans, each expressing its own unique flavor profile.
Today in Vietnam, several farms have begun cultivating and processing specialty coffee. Renowned coffee-growing areas such as Đà Lạt, Khe Sanh, and Sơn La are gradually gaining recognition for producing high-quality beans that meet the stringent standards of the SCA.
Driven by a deep and abiding passion for Vietnamese coffee, PLE has spent years committed to improving bean quality through a fully integrated process - from cultivation to advanced processing.
Today, PLE has successfully developed products that unlock the rare bioactive compounds inherent in each coffee variety while preserving their distinctive aromas and unique character - reflecting the diverse terroirs of Vietnam’s different growing regions.
